YES.

Just

YES.

If The Cursed Doctor found himself in The Box.

It’s astounding

image

Time is fleeting

image

Madness takes its toll

image

But listen closely

image

Not for very much longer

image

I’ve got to keep control

image

I remember

image

Doing the Time Warp

image

Drinking those moments when

image

The blackness would hit me

image

And the void would be calling

image

Let’s do the time warp again

image

Let’s do the time warp again

image

It’s just a jump to the left

image

And then a step to the riiight

image

With your hands on your hips

image

You bring your knees in tiiight

image

But it’s the pelvic thrust

image

That really drives you insaaane

image

Let’s do the time warp again

image

Let’s do the time warp again

image

It’s so dreamy

image

Oh fantasy free me

image

So you can’t see me

image

No not at all

image

In another dimension

image

With voyeuristic intention

image

Well-secluded, I see all

image

With a bit of a mind flip

image

You’re into the time slip

image

And nothing can ever be the same

image

You’re spaced out on sensation

image

Like you’re under sedation

image

Let’s do the time warp again

image

Let’s do the time warp again

image

Well, I was walking down the street

image

Just having a think

image

When a snake of a guy

image

Gave me an evil wink

image

Well it shook me up

image

It took me by surprise

image

He had a pick-up truck

image

And the devil’s eyes

image

He stared at me

image

And I felt a change

image

Time meant nothing

image

Never would again

image

Let’s do the time warp again

image

Let’s do the time warp again

image

It’s just a jump to the left

image

And then a step to the riiight

image

With your hands on your hips

image

You bring your knees in tiiight

But it’s the pelvic thrust

That really drives you insaaane

“I really want people to stop judging “Frozen”. It hasn’t been released yet people are calling it terrible. Please people, can we save our judgement for when we actually have something to judge?”

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS A HUNDRED TIMES THIS.

NO. NOT GONNA STOP JUDGING THIS FILM’S DUMB DECISIONS.

Get it out of your head that people are judging Frozen. Some people are, and that’s not okay - but for everyone who’s that narrow minded, remember, there are a hundred more who don’t like the direction the film is going in, and that’s perfectly acceptable.
It’s NOT nice to judge anything before you see it, but we’ve ALREADY SEEN what Disney has chosen as artistic choices, and let’s face it, they are bad decisions - and it’s not nice to say people shouldn’t express their opinions over bad decisions.
There is no Kay. Nope, there’s no way a male moviegoing audience can empathize with a FEMALE lead! We need a male secondary character in this story! Wait, what do you mean the story’s lack of male characters emphasized the complexity and power of the female spirit? We don’t need that much depth in our story! D:<
Gerda’s name’s too ‘foreign’, call her Anna instead. The Snow Queen’s a fae? Lawwwl, we don’t care about that! Let’s give her petty human desires and a sister! Showing her as an ethereal force of nature with no humanity at all’s not going to be a tearjerker! If we can’t kill off any parents or siblings to eke out an emotional response, let’s do what Brave did and throw in a family relationship as the ‘story’s core’, and a funny talking non-human sidekick for good measure, so the lowest common denominator will understand it and we’ll get that Oscar!
PEOPLE WHO THINK FROZEN IS BAD BECAUSE IT’S A CGI MOVIE - THAT’S NOT OKAY.
PEOPLE WHO THINK FROZEN WILL SUCK BEFORE SEEING IT - THAT’S NOT OKAY.
It’s not right to form opinions based on something you don’t know about, and I totally understand where you’re coming from, OP, but understand this:
WE’RE NOT JUDGING FROZEN BEFORE IT COMES OUT, WE’RE JUDGING THE CHOICES FORZEN HAS ALREADY MADE. AND, LIKE IT OR NOT, THEY ARE BAD CHOICES.
I have no idea what Frozen will be like, and I’m actually really excited for it. Knowing Disney’s track record, it will be a good film at the very least, and a mediocre one at worst - but I am very, very disappointed by the fact that they’re calling this an adaptation of The Snow Queen, because it’s not.
Calling Frozen the Snow Queen is like calling Love Never Dies an adaptation of Leroux’s Phantom of the Opera - the bare bones and characters seem to be there, but it’s moral, it’s meaning, it’s very heart isn’t the story’s own, what makes the Snow Queen story quintessentially the Snow Queen’s story has been sacrificed to appeal to the lowest common denominator, and it’s plain to see.
It’s still going to be enjoyable (and something tells me I WILL LOVE IT!), but it’s not the Snow Queen, and we have every right to be disappointed in that fact alone.
